VOLLEYBALL: Thomas Jefferson knocks off McAuley; College Heights tops Exeter

Thomas Jefferson earned a 25-11, 25-11 and 25-17 win over McAuley Catholic in Ozark 7 Conference play.

The sweep gives the Cavaliers a 13-3 record this season and a 3-0 mark in conference play.

Lannah Grigg had seven kills, seven aces and three blocks, while Gabbi Hiebert had two digs, six kills and four blocks. Macie Shifferd had eight kills and two aces, while Mary Nguyen finished with 15 assists, an ace, a kill and a dig. Maggie Sutton had 10 digs, while Leah Studer had five assists. Alexis Stamps had three kills for Thomas Jefferson.

Thomas Jefferson hosts Southwest on Thursday.

 

COLLEGE HEIGHTS 3, EXETER 0

College Heights rolled to a straight set win over Exeter on Tuesday, as the Cougars earned a 25-13, 25-14, 25-11 win.

Maddy Colin had 31 assists and five aces, while Lilly Plassman compiled 11 digs and four aces and Bailey Peeples had 17 kills.

Toryn Fink contributed eight kills and Allie Stout had three aces.

College Heights (8-7-3) is at Golden City on Monday.

 

OTHER SCORES

East Newton defeated Wheaton 25-22, 22-25, 25-9 and 25-13 on Tuesday.
