BRANSON, Mo. — Joplin earned its first Central Ozark Conference victory under the direction of first-year head coach Desiree Felker on Thursday, as the Eagles defeated the Branson Pirates 3-1.
The set scores were 25-20, 22-25, 25-16, 29-27.
Angelina Schramm led the Eagles with 13 kills, while Allie Lawrence added nine kills and three aces. Bailey Owens contributed eight kills, while Emma Floyd had seven kills.
Owens had four blocks and Floyd added three.
Paisley Parker had a team-high 21 digs, while Abby Hembree had 18 assists. Kaya Cooper added 14 assists and three aces.
Joplin (6-3-2, 1-1 COC) will be among the teams competing at the Carl Junction Invitational on Saturday.
