GIRLS TENNIS: Thomas Jefferson tops Carthage, remains unbeaten

The Thomas Jefferson girls tennis team remained unbeaten this fall by beating Carthage 9-0 on Monday at the TJ courts.

The Cavaliers are now 7-0.

In singles matches, Thomas Jefferson’s Alison Ding defeated Kailie Layman 8-0, Jeanna Jeyaraj beat Logan Lee 8-0, Esther Yang topped Madeleine Goetzinger 8-1, Warda Morsy defeated Emma Seedorf 8-0, Mayson Solum topped Rachel Martin 8-0 and Kyla Yang beat Aneidy Garza-Maldonado 8-0.

In doubles play, Ding-Jeyaraj defeated Layman-Goetzinger 8-2, while Yang-Yang beat Lee-Martin 8-0 and Morsy-Solum knocked off Seedorf-Emerson Rogers 8-1.

Thomas Jefferson hosts Greenwood on Tuesday. 

Carthage hosts Carl Junction on Tuesday.
