BOYS SOCCER: Badr’s hat trick leads Joplin past Parkview

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Adam Badr recorded a hat trick, leading Joplin to an 8-0 win over Parkview on Monday night. 

A junior, Badr scored Joplin’s first three goals — an unassisted goal in the eighth minute before scoring again in both the 12th and 13th minutes. Ian Trejo and Duncan Fogarty had the assists.

Fogarty’s goal, which came in the 22nd minute and was assisted by Alex De La Torre, made it 4-0.

Zekir Ajruloski converted a penalty kick in the 35th minute to give the Eagles a 5-0 advantage.

Joplin added three goals in the second half, with Fogarty scoring his second goal in the 56th minute, with Badr assisting, before Ever Blanco and Bennett Robertson got into the act for the final margin.

Joplin took 23 shots on goal, while Parkview had just one.

Goalkeeper Brayden Anderson was credited with one save for the Eagles. 

Joplin is at Neosho on Tuesday night.
