TRACK & FIELD: McAuley Catholic athletes shine at Aurora

AURORA, Mo. — Athletes from McAuley Catholic competed at the Aurora Ice Box Relays on Thursday.

For the McAuley boys, Michael Parrigon won the 800-meter run in 2:16. Parrigon was the runner-up in the 1600 (5:00). 

Jacob Bracich placed second in the long jump and the 200-meter run (25.58 seconds). 

Phillip Motazedi, Armando Alberto and Drew Zeb finished third, fourth and fifth in the 3200. 

The Warriors finished third in the 4×400 relay and they were fourth in both the 4×100 and 4×800 relays. 

For the McAuley girls, Kloee Williamson won the 100-meter dash in 14.39 seconds and was the runner-up in the 200 (30.14). 

Williamson also placed second in the triple jump and took third in the long jump.

Avery Eminger won the discus (22.51 meters). Eminger and Kaitlyn Bates finished second and third, respectively, in the shot put. 

Kendall Ramsey won the 3200 (15:31) and took third in the 1600.
