WEBB CITY, Mo. — The Webb City High School volleyball team kept its record unblemished with a 3-1 victory over Mount Vernon on Thursday inside the Cardinal Dome.
The Cardinals defeated the Mountaineers 25-11, 19-25, 25-20, 25-10.
Webb City is now 4-0.
Kate Brownfield compiled 12 kills, three digs and three aces to lead the Cardinals, while Kearston Galardo had 10 kills, four digs and four aces.
Also for the Cardinals, Makenzie Storm contributed eight kills, seven digs, four blocks and three aces, while Brenda Lawrence recorded eight kills and four digs.
Webb City’s Kyah Sanborn handed out 41 assists to go along with five digs and three aces. Sophia Crane had a team-high 11 digs, while Jenna Noel contributed six digs. Aubree Lassiter chipped in four kills and two aces.
Webb City hosts Seneca on Tuesday, with the varsity match scheduled for 7 p.m.
