FOOTBALL: Local squads ranked in latest Missouri Media polls

The Missouri Media state football rankings have been released following Week 2 of the 2022 season.

Joplin is now ranked eighth in Class 6. Conference rival Nixa is ranked fourth.

In Class 5, Carthage is ranked first and Webb City is second. Nevada is ranked fourth in Class 4.

In Class 2, Lamar is ranked first and Seneca is fifth.

The statewide high school football rankings are compiled by an 11-member panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
