REPUBLIC, Mo. — Carthage outlasted Republic 3-2 in a Central Ozark Conference volleyball thriller on Thursday night.
Carthage won the match 15-25, 25-13, 25-16, 27-29, 15-9.
“It was a great night for us to compete and get better,” Carthage coach Bradyn Webb said. “We were mentally prepared for this game and our girls stayed tough. Our outsides and defense did a great job of keeping the ball in play. Every win we get more focused and competitive for the next one. Overall, it was a good COC win.”
Sydnee Dudolski had 19 kills and 14 digs for Carthage, while Olivia Bourgault had 22 digs and Chloe Black had 13 digs.
Brielle Cartwright had nine kills, while Grace Schriever added seven. Abby Holderbaum and Grace Pickering contributed five kills apiece. Rylee Anderson contributed 10 digs.
Carthage is now 9-6 and 2-0 in the COC. Carthage will compete at the Mount Vernon Tournament on Saturday.
