WEBB CITY AT BRANSON

Records: Webb City 4-1, Branson 2-3.

Last week: Webb City beat Carl Junction 28-14, Branson lost at Carthage 33-10.

Last year: Webb City defeated Branson 42-0.

OUTLOOK: Webb City has outscored its opponents 200-93 this season, while Branson has been outscored 136-102. The Pirates own wins over Carl Junction (21-20) and Neosho (49-15), with losses to Nixa (42-6), Ozark (26-16) and Carthage last Friday. 

Branson’s spread offense averages 155 passing yards and 106 rushing yards per game. Tristan Pierce has completed 48 passes for 697 yards this season, with  Brady Blackwell and Ethan Jones the top receivers. Blackwell has 461 receiving yards and five touchdowns, while Jones has 197 yards. Pierce passed for 281 yards against Neosho, with 203 yards going to Blackwell. Cristian Berumen has racked up 338 rushing yards with five scores. He ran for 112 yards on 13 carries with one score last Friday. Berumen also knocked in a field goal last week.

Webb City’s Devrin Weathers has rushed for 753 yards (150 per game) and has scored 13 touchdowns, while Cade Wilson has recorded 285 rushing yards with six scores, including three last Friday. Cole Gayman has passed for 268 yards with four touchdowns and also ran for 263 yards and two scores. Mekhi Garrard and Cohl Vaden have two TD receptions apiece. Lucas Ott (42), Treghan Parker (29) and Brayden Hollingsworth (28) are the team’s leading tacklers. Hollingsworth has three sacks and Parker has two interceptions.

Webb City is currently ranked second in Class 5 by the Missouri Media. These two teams are both in Class 5 District 6.
