PREP FOOTBALL WEEK 4: BRANSON AT NEOSHO

Last week: Branson defeated Carl Junction 21-20; Neosho lost to Carthage 42-7.
Last year: Neosho defeated Branson 21-14.
OUTLOOK: Neosho has been unable to generate much offense thus far, as the Wildcats have been outscored 108-7 this season.
Running back Talon Mitchell scored Neosho’s lone touchdown last week against Carthage. In that one, the Wildcats managed 160 yards of offense. Drayke Perry is another running threat for Neosho, while Logan Whetzell runs the show from the QB position.
Branson has been outscored 88-43 this season. The Pirates held on late against Carl Junction last Friday when the Bulldogs missed an extra-point kick with 18 seconds remaining. With touchdowns from Payton McCormick, Josiah Hutchinson and Cristian Berumen, Branson led 21-0 before allowing 20 unanswered points against the Bulldogs, who were not at full-strength.
