LAMAR, Mo. — Carthage’s Shay Gaddis earned medalist honors at the Lamar Invitational girls golf tournament on Tuesday at Jeremy’s Creek Golf Course.
It was the season opener for area squads.
A junior, Gaddis carded 77 to claim the individual championship.
Cassville’s Avery Chappell was the runner-up with a 78.
Carthage’s Addie Foust finished third with an 85, Joplin’s Kenna Haley placed fourth after carding a 90 and Lamar’s Victoria O’Neal took fifth with a 93.
Carl Junction’s Lyric Belcher took sixth place with a 94, Monett’s Katie Geiss was seventh with a 95, Carl Junction’s Olivia Teeter placed eighth with a 96, Joplin’s Drew Yockey was ninth with a 98 and Webb City’s Avry Hodson finished 10th with a 102.
Finishing 11th through 15th were Lamar’s Zavrie Wiss (103), Cassville’s Adelee Hendrick (104), Carl Junction’s Rylie Matyi (108), Cassville’s Gracie Harmon (108) and Carl Junction’s Anna Burch (109).
Joplin’s Chloe Friend finished 16th (112) and Webb City’s Langlee Walker was 17th (112). Seneca’s top performer was Madison Collinsworth, who finished 19th (113).
Carl Junction’s Alex Teeter finished 20th (115), Webb City’s Brooklyn Cartwright was 21st (117), Joplin’s Gwen Zamanzadeh was 22nd (119), Seneca’s Madi Aumen took 23rd (119) and Joplin’s Macy Taylor was 24th (120).
The top four teams were Cassville (403), Carl Junction (407), Joplin (419) and Carthage (421).
Rounding out the team standings were Webb City (455), Monett (479), Seneca (490) and East Newton (519).
