PREP BASEBALL: Carthage’s Bill O’Dell tourney begins this afternoon

The 2021 Bill O’Dell Baseball Tournament begins today at Carl Lewton Stadium in Carthage.

Teams competing at this year’s weeklong event are Carl Junction, Neosho, Mount Vernon, Nevada, Monett, Seneca and the host Carthage Tigers.

There are three games scheduled for Monday. Carl Junction and Neosho clash at 2, Mount Vernon takes on Nevada at 4:30 and Monett meets Seneca at 7.

Tuesday’s schedule has Carthage vs. Monett at 2, Nevada vs. Neosho at 4:30 and Carl Junction vs. Mount Vernon at 7.

On Wednesday, Mount Vernon meets Seneca at 4:30 and Carthage plays Neosho at 7. 

Thursday’s schedule has Monett vs. Nevada at 2 and Seneca vs. Carl Junction at 4:30.

Friday’s matchups will be determined by the week’s results, but games are scheduled for 2, 4:30 and 7 (title game). 

Games have a two and a half hour time limit. 

Admission each day is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
