McDonald County’s Lily Allman claimed medalist honors and Carthage captured the team championship at the Joplin Invitational girls golf tournament on Wednesday at Schifferdecker Golf Course.
Allman carded a 78 to take first place honors at the invite. Carthage’s Hailey Bryant shot an 83 to finish second, while teammate Rylee Scott turned in a 90, giving the Tigers two of the top three finishers.
Cassville’s Avery Chappell carded a 91 and took fourth place, while Webb City’s Sarah Oathout claimed fifth place with a 94.
Carthage finished with a team score of 375 to top the team standings, while McDonald County was a distant second with a 403.
Webb City finished third with a 425 and Joplin was fourth with a 430.
Joplin recognized its lone senior, Bella Stotlar.
Area golfers will return to action on Monday at the Carl Junction Invitational at Briarbrook.
