SOFTBALL: College Heights beats Verona

College Heights (with McAuley) scored in every frame on the way to an 13-0 five-inning win over Verona in Ozark 7 action on Thursday.

The Cougars improved 7-0 after scoring three runs in the first, a run in the second, two in the third and seven more in fourth to put the game away.

Maddy Colin was dominant in the circle, allowing one hit and striking out 14 in the five-inning complete-game win.

Jayli Johnson had three hits, two RBI and scored twice to lead College Heights at the plate. Kloee Williamson had a hit, scored twice and drove in one. Colin had a hit and two RBI, while Aaliyah Perez had a hit, scored one and drove in three. Allie Stout doubled to go along with an RBI and a run scored. Kallie Spencer had a hit, two RBI and a run scored, while Emma Angel and Avery Shumaker each had a hit and combined for four runs scored.

College Heights takes part in the Conway Tournament this weekend.
