MONETT, Mo. — Neosho’s winning streak is up to 10.
Neosho scored multiple runs in five innings en route to a 16-3 non-conference softball victory at Monett on Wednesday.
The Wildcats improved to 16-3 overall with their 10th straight win.
With the game tied at one after the opening frame, the Wildcats scored three runs in both the second and third innings before adding two in the fourth and three more in the fifth for a comfortable 12-3 lead.
The Wildcats added four runs in the top of the seventh inning for the final margin.
Neosho recorded 19 hits, with 10 different players contributing.
Grace Johnson went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI, while Beclynn Garrett went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
McKaylie Forrest, Carleigh Kinnaird, Baylie Bowers and Maelynn Garrett all contributed two hits apiece for Neosho.
Autumn Kinnaird and Forrest had two RBI apiece. Kaylynn Pruitt and Maelynn Garrett each scored two runs.
Chloe Patterson went two innings in the circle, allowing three earned runs on six hits.
Carleigh Kinnaird tossed five scoreless innings, striking out eight and giving up just one hit.
Jenna Herald and Madeline Mettlach had two hits apiece for the Cubs. Mettlach, Halle Schoen and Kailyn Cendroski each had one RBI.
Neosho is at Ozark on Thursday.
