Ozark broke a 3-3 tie with a run in the top of the seventh to earn a 4-3 win over Joplin in Central Ozark Conference action on Tuesday.
The Eagles (11-11, 0-5 COC) and Tigers (13-6, 4-1 COC), who were playing at the the JHS Athletic Complex after weather forced a venue change, traded two-run second innings before Ozark pushed across a run in the fourth to take the lead. Joplin tied it with a run in the bottom of the sixth only to see the Tigers use a sacrifice fly in the seventh to push across the go-ahead run.
Jordyn Foley earned the win in the circle after allowing three runs on five hits, two walks and 17 strikeouts in a complete-game effort.
Jill McDaniel took the loss after allowing four runs, one earned, on four hits, two walks and five strikeouts in seven innings.
Abby Ford had a pair of triples in her three hits, adding three RBI and a run scored to lead Ozark at the plate.
Abby Lowery had a double, an RBI and a run scored, while Izzy Yust tripled and scored twice for Joplin.
Joplin is at Republic on Thursday, while Ozark is at Kickapoo.
