PITTSBURG, Kan. — Crossing the border for an interstate clash, the Joplin High School volleyball team earned a 3-0 non-conference win over the host Pittsburg Purple Dragons on Monday night.
The set scores were 25-19, 25-18, 25-16.
Aubrey Ritter led Joplin with 21 digs, 10 kills and nine service points.
Allie Lawrence had eight kills, while Emma Floyd had six. Angelina Schramm and Baileigh Riley added five kills apiece.
Schramm had 12 service points. Riley had a team-high 21 assists to go with nine digs. Kaylie Anderson had 13 digs.
Joplin (14-12-1) played without senior setter Addison Saunders, who is dealing with a knee injury.
Joplin is at Carl Junction on Tuesday night.
