NIXA, Mo. — Defending Class 4 state champion Nixa defeated Joplin 3-0 in Central Ozark Conference volleyball action on Thursday night.
The set scores were 25-13, 25-10, 25-15.
Joplin senior setter Addison Saunders compiled 12 assists and three kills, while senior outside hitter Aubrey Ritter had six kills and seven digs.
Allie Lawrence had six kills, while Baileigh Riley handed out eight assists and had five digs.
Kaylie Anderson had seven digs.
Joplin is now 11-8 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
Nixa is now 10-2 and 2-1 in the COC.
Joplin will be among the teams competing at the Neosho Tournament on Saturday.
