Volleyball: College Heights’ season ends in quarterfinals

College Heights Christian fell one win short of advancing to the semifinals of the Class 1 state volleyball tournament.
With a spot in the Final Four up for grabs, Lesterville defeated College Heights 3-0 on Saturday night at Blue Eye High School. The set scores were 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.
Mary Colin’s Cougars finished the season with a 24-4 record. This year’s CHC seniors are Avery Good, Sarah Painter, Kaynahn Burk, Lainey Lett, Catie Secker, Zipporah Jones, Layne Jackson and Emma Woodford.
The Cougars advanced to the quarterfinals by beating Summersville 3-1 in the sectional round.
College Heights won the match 25-13, 25-22, 16-25, 25-15.
