CARL JUNCTION, Mo. — Led by individual medalist Hailey Bryant, the Carthage High School girls golf team won the Carl Junction Invitational on Monday at Briarbrook Golf Course.
The Tigers finished with a team score of 391, while Webb City was second with a 403. Joplin (441) and Carl Junction (458) rounded out the team standings.
A senior, Bryant carded an 80 to finish on top of the leaderboard by a wide margin.
Webb City’s Sophia Coulson and Laya McAllister both shot 95 to finish second and third, respectively. Webb City’s Sydney French finished fourth with a 97.
Also competing for Carthage were Caitlin Derryberry (100), Ava Lacey (104), Aubri Fisher (107) and Shay Gaddis (109).
Joplin was led by Lindsey Belnap (104) and Drew Yockey (109), while Carl Junction’s top performer was Rylee Sprague (107). Seneca was led by Madison Babbitt (109).
Area golfers will compete at the Joplin Invitational on Wednesday at Schifferdecker Golf Course.
