District tournament seeds and brackets have been released for local schools competing in Class 1 and Class 2.
Girls teams from College Heights Christian and McAuley Catholic and the Thomas Jefferson boys have earned No. 1 seeds for their respective district tournaments.
GIRLS
CLASS 2 DISTRICT 12
College Heights Christian is the top seed and receives a first-round bye. The Cougars are currently ranked fifth in Class 2 by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association.
In opening-round games slated for 6 p.m. on Feb. 22, No. 4 Wheaton meets No. 5 Jasper and No. 3 Verona takes on No. 6 Liberal.
College Heights will meet the Wheaton-Jasper winner in the semifinals at 6 on Feb. 24.
No. 2 seed Greenfield will take on either Verona or Liberal in the other semifinal. Greenfield is ranked sixth by the MBCA.
The district title game is scheduled for 7:30 on Feb. 26 at Webb City High School.
CLASS 1 DISTRICT 7
As the top seed, McAuley Catholic receives a first-round bye.
Opening-round games on Feb. 22 have No. 4 Rich Hill vs. No. 5 Northeast Vernon County, No. 2 Hume vs. No. 7 Thomas Jefferson and No. 3 Bronaugh vs. No. 6 Sheldon. The higher seed hosts.
McAuley will host either Rich Hill or NEVC at 6 on Feb. 24 in a semifinal contest.
The district title game is scheduled for 5:30 on Feb. 26 at Lamar High School.
BOYS
CLASS 2 DISTRICT 12
In first-round games at 4:30 on Feb. 20, No. 4 Verona hosts No. 5 Jasper, while No. 3 College Heights Christian hosts No. 6 Greenfield at Ozark Christian College.
In Feb. 23 semifinals slated for 6 p.m., No. 1 seed Liberal hosts either Verona or Jasper, while No. 2 Wheaton hosts the CHC-Greenfield winner.
The district title game is scheduled for 5:30 on Feb. 26 at Webb City High School.

Thomas Jefferson is the top seed for the Class 1 District 7 tournament, while McAuley Catholic is seeded second. The Cavaliers are ranked ninth by the MBCA.
In opening-round games on Saturday, No. 4 Rich Hill plays No. 5 Bronaugh, No. 2 McAuley hosts No. 7 Northeast Vernon County at 1 p.m., while No. 3 Hume meets No. 6 Sheldon.
Thomas Jefferson hosts either Rich Hill or Bronaugh at 6 on Feb. 23. If the Warriors win on Saturday, they would host Hume or Sheldon at 6 on Feb. 23.
The district championship game is slated for 8 p.m. on Feb. 26 at Lamar High School.
