NEVADA, Mo. — Nevada’s boys basketball team earned a 54-41 victory over Harrisonville on Tuesday night.
Winners of two straight, Nevada improved to 3-7.
The Tigers were clinging to a two-point lead at the end of the first quarter, but the hosts outscored the Wildcats 14-6 in the second period.
Nevada led 38-30 entering the fourth quarter. The Tigers outscored the visitors 16-11 in the last eight minutes for the final margin.
Senior forward Drew Beachler scored 20 points to lead Nevada, while senior guard Cade Beshore added 12 and sophomore Jack Cheaney had eight.
Mason Mitchell scored 16 points to lead the Wildcats (3-6), while Mason Worthley had 12.
Nevada returns to action on Jan. 3 with a road date at Clinton.
