PREP VOLLEYBALL: Storm, Galardo lead Webb City to road win; Cardinals improve to 3-0

 

ROGERS, Ark. — The Webb City High School volleyball team improved to 3-0 by earning a 3-1 victory over Rogers Heritage on Monday night.

The Cardinals defeated the War Eagles 23-25, 25-21, 25-7, 25-15.

Seniors Makenzie Storm and Kearston Galardo led the way for the Cardinals. 

Storm contributed 16 digs, 11 kills and five blocks, while Galardo compiled 12 kills, six aces and six digs.

Brenda Lawrence and Kate Brownfield added seven kills apiece for the Cardinals. 

Kyah Sanborn handed out 30 assists and recorded 11 digs, while Sophia Crane had 14 digs. Jenna Noel chipped in five digs.

The Cardinals host Mount Vernon at 7 on Thursday night.

Joplin is ranked fourth in Class 6, while Webb City and Carthage are second and sixth, respectively, in Class 5. Lamar is ranked first in Class 2.
