VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Webb City gives Seneca first loss; CHC wins in five sets; Carthage sweeps Cassville

WEBB CITY SWEEPS SENECA

WEBB CITY, Mo. — Webb City handed Seneca its first loss of the season with a 25-14, 25-10 and 25-21 defeat of the Indians on Tuesday. 

The Cardinals improve to 8-2-1, while Seneca falls to 5-1.

Aubree Lassiter led Webb City with 11 kills and two blocks, while Kate Brownfield added seven kills, seven digs and three aces. Kyah Sanborn finished with 25 assists and two kills, while Sophia Crane had 17 digs to lead the Cardinals. Jaeli Rutledge had six kills, five blocks and three digs, while Brenda Lawrence added four kills, four digs and an ace.

Ella Graham had a team-high seven kills for Seneca, while Parker Long finished with six kills and six digs. Jera Jameson had five kills, while Brylee Sage had 13 assists. Braxton Raulston had two aces and Amber Garrison had one block kill.

Webb City hosts the Webb City Quad tournament on Saturday, while Seneca is at Jasper on Thursday.

 

CHC BEATS JASPER IN FIVE SETS

JASPER, Mo. — College Heights improved to 9-1-1 on the season with a five-set victory over Jasper on Tuesday.

The Cougars came away with a 25-15, 25-15, 12-25, 17-25 and 15-10 win over the Eagles.

Addie Lawrence led CHC with 18 kills, 16 service points with seven aces and two blocks. Lauren Ukena had 12 kills, 17 digs and three aces in service. Maddy Colin had 31 assists, 14 points in service and 10 digs, while Ava Masena added 13 digs.

College Heights takes part in the Lamar Tigers Classic tournament on Saturday.

 

CARTHAGE SWEEPS CASSVILLE

Carthage earned a 3-0 win over Cassville on Tuesday, as the Tigers topped the Wildcats 25-18, 25-18, 25-20.

Brielle Cartwright led the Tigers with eight kills, while Peyton Ray added six kills.

Riann Schwartz had 15 digs, while Kailyn Schultz added nine digs.

Raven Probert handed out 13 assists and served five aces, while Jaidyn Brunnert contributed nine assists.

Carthage (4-6) will compete at the Mo-Kan Invitational on Saturday in Lee’s Summit.
