PREP FOOTBALL WEEK 3: NEOSHO AT CARTHAGE

Records: Neosho (0-2), Carthage (2-0)

Last week: Carthage def. Carl Junction 21-20; Webb City def. Neosho 45-0.

Last year: Carthage def. Neosho 55-0.

OUTLOOK: Carthage is coming off a 21-20 come-from-behind win over Carl Junction. The Tigers overcame four turnovers to come away with the victory. Quarterback Patrick Carlton completed 10-of-17 passes for 129 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions, while rushing 25 times for 133 yards, a touchdown and two fumbles. Running back Luke Gall added 27 rushes for 74 yards, while wideout Hudson Moore caught five passes for 61 yards and a go-ahead touchdown late in the win.

Neosho is coming off a tough loss to Webb City, failing to put much offense together in the two games this season.

Last week in the loss, Neosho running back Drayke Perry ran seven times for 32 yards, while quarterback Logan Whetzell completed 2-of-7 passes for 39 yards. Perry had one reception for 27 yards.

The Wildcats have gone scoreless in two games this season and will look to change that against the Tigers.
