The final day of the 2022 Class 3-5 MSHSAA Track & Field Championships was held on Saturday at Adkins Stadium in Jefferson City.

Below are photos of Joplin area athletes from SoMo Sports photographer Shawn Fowler.

 

The Joplin High School boys track and field squad finished second in the Class 5 team standings.

 

The JHS coaching staff accepts the runner-up plaque.

 

Joplin senior Donovyn Fowler was the Class 5 state champion in both the long jump and triple jump.
Donovahn Watkins won a state title in the shot put.

 

Joplin’s Hobbs Campbell

 

Hobbs Campbell earned all-state honors in both the 800 and 1600.

 

Carthage’s Micah Lindsey finished seventh in the Class 5 shot put.

 

 

Webb City’s Trey Roets earned all-state honors in the Class 4 javelin by finishing third.

 

Webb City’s Abi Street competes in the 3200 on Saturday at the Class 4 state track meet.

 

Carl Junction senior Ally Montez earned all-state honors in both hurdle races at the Class 4 state track meet.

 

Carl Junction senior Olivia Vediz earned all-state honors in both the long jump and the triple jump in Class 4.

Seneca senior Katelyn Fyock earned all-state honors in the triple jump.

 

East Newton’s boys were third in the Class 3 team standings.

 

Camryn Ledford competed in the para events.
