PREP WRESTLING: Carthage earns win over Neosho

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Carthage recorded a 38-31 win over Neosho on Tuesday in the annual Black and Blue Brawl.

At 106 pounds, Carthage’s Aydan Nye won by forfeit.

Neosho’s Wyatt Black earned a 10-3 decision over Christian Brown at 120.

At 126, Carthage’s Bradyn Tate won by fall over Johnny Chrisco, but Neosho’s Hayden Crane pinned Byron Lopez at 132. 

Neosho’s Nate Copeland recorded an 11-7 decision over Eli Sneed at 138, but Carthage’s Grey Petticrew won by fall over Bostyn Patterson at 145.

At 152 pounds, Neosho’s Trent Neece earned a 4-3 win over Braxdon Tate. 

Carthage’s Davion King earned a major decision, 12-4, over Collyn Kivett at 160.

Neosho’s Eli Zar, who recently recorded win No. 100 of his prep career, earned a 14-3 win over Gabe Lambeth at 170. 

Carthage’s Brett Rockers won by fall over Gabe Mabery at 182 before Neosho’s DeLeon Ulysses pinned Landyn Collins at 195. 

Neosho’s Eric Renner won by forfeit at 220.

At 285, Carthage’s David Recinos pinned Tyce Hardin to lock up the dual win for the hosts.
