PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNUP: CJ, CHC, TJ and Seneca all earn wins on Monday

CARL JUNCTION EARNS THREE-SET WIN OVER ROGERS

ROGERS, Ark. — Carl Junction crossed state lines and earned a 25-20, 25-18 and 25-22 sweep of Rogers, Arkansas, on Monday.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 3-2 on the season.

Jessa Hylton led Carl Junction with 17 kills, three aces and eight digs, while Logan Jones added 13 digs, two aces and 45 assists. Kylie Scott had 11 kills, while Destiny Buerge had 10 kills. Olivia Vediz finished with eight digs.

Carl Junction hosts Mount Vernon on Tuesday.

 

COLLEGE HEIGHTS SCORES STRAIGHT-SET WIN OVER MARIONVILLE

College Heights started the week off with a convincing home win, defeating Marionville 25-15, 25-18 and 25-18 on Monday.

Lauren Ukena finished with seven kills, two aces and 13 service points, while Addie Lawrence finished with 13 kills and two blocks to lead the Cougars. Ava Mesena had four aces and 12 service points, while Lindsay Griesemer had three aces and nine service points. Maddy Colin had four aces, 15 assists and 18 service points.

 

THOMAS JEFFERSON DEFEATS LOCKWOOD IN FIVE SETS

Thomas Jefferson rallied back to earn a five-set thrilling win 11-25, 25-13, 18-25, 25-17 and 15-9 over Lockwood on Monday. 

Nico Carlson finished with three kills and three blocks for Thomas Jefferson, while Mayson Solum had eight assists to go along with two kills. Mary Nguyen had three aces in service, two kills and three assists, while Lannah Grigg had five aces in service and six kills. Alexis Stamps also contributed three kills.

 

WEBB CITY DROPS MATCH TO BENTONVILLE

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Webb City suffered a 3-1 setback at Bentonville on Monday night.

The Tigers defeated the Cardinals 25-12, 25-18, 20-25, 25-19.

Kearston Galardo recorded 10 kills, six digs and four aces for Webb City, while Makenzie Storm contributed seven kills, nine digs and five blocks.

Aubree Lassiter, Brenda Lawrence and Kate Brownfield added five kills apiece for the Cardinals. Brownfield also had seven digs. 

Kyah Sanborn handed out 28 assists and had seven digs, while Sophia Crane had a team-high 14 digs. 

Webb City (5-4-1) hosts Seneca (3-2) at 7 on Tuesday night. 

 

SENECA SWEEPS CRANE

SENECA, Mo. — Seneca moved to 3-2 on the season after earning a 25-14, 25-16 and 25-8 sweep of Crane on Monday.

Rylee Darnell and Brylee Sage combined for 31 assists, while Parker Long had 13 kills, eight digs and three aces to lead Seneca. Sage added four aces, while Darnell had six kills and seven digs. Braxton Raulston finished with nine digs. Jera Jameson and Ellie Barnes had a block each, while Ella Graham added two aces in service.

Seneca travels to Webb City on Tuesday before visiting College Heights on Thursday.
