District assignments released for fall sports

The Missouri State High School Activities Association released its 2021 district assignments for softball, volleyball, girls tennis, girls golf, boys soccer and boys swimming on Friday. District assignments for cross country have not yet been released. 

Below is a look at area districts of interest by sport. 

 

SOFTBALL

Joplin and Carthage are in Class 5 District 6 with Springfield Central, Glendale, Kickapoo, Nixa, Ozark and Republic. 

Class 4 District 6 features Webb City, Carl Junction, Neosho, McDonald County, Branson, Hillcrest, Parkview and Willard. 

Seneca, Aurora, Cassville and Monett are in Class 3 District 4 with Rogersville, Reeds Spring, Salem and Willow Springs.

 

VOLLEYBALL 

CLASS 5 DISTRICT 12

Joplin, Carthage and Neosho are in this district with Belton and Raymore-Peculiar. 

 

CLASS 4 DISTRICT 12

This district features Carl Junction, Webb City, McDonald County, Monett and Nevada. 

 

CLASS 3 DISTRICT 11

Teams in this district are Aurora, Cassville, Clever, Reeds Spring and Springfield Catholic.

 

CLASS 3 DISTRICT 12

Seneca, Lamar, East Newton, Mount Vernon and El Dorado Springs make up this district. 

 

CLASS 2 DISTRICT 11

Teams in this district are Diamond, Sarcoxie, Pierce City, Marionville and Southwest. 

 

CLASS 1 DISTRICT 9

College Heights Christian, McAuley Catholic and Thomas Jefferson are entered in Class 1 District 9 with Bronaugh, Jasper and Liberal. 

 

CLASS 1 DISTRICT 10

This district features Miller, Golden City, Lockwood, Everton, Greenfield, Northeast Vernon County and Sheldon. 

 

GIRLS TENNIS

Joplin and Carthage are in Class 3 District 6 with Lee’s Summit, Lee’s Summit North, Lee’s Summit West and Raymore-Peculiar. 

Class 2 District 6 features Webb City, Carl Junction, Neosho, Hillcrest, Parkview and Willard. 

Class 1 District 12 consists of College Heights, Thomas Jefferson, Lamar and Nevada. Class 1 District 11 features Aurora, Mount Vernon, Monett, Clever and Reeds Spring.

 

GIRLS GOLF

Joplin is in Class 4 District 3, while Webb City, Carthage, Carl Junction and McDonald County are among the schools competing in Class 3 District 3. 

Seneca is in Class 2 District 2.

 

BOYS SOCCER

Class 4 District 5 will feature Joplin, Carthage, Springfield Central, Kickapoo, Nixa, Ozark, Republic and Waynesville. 

Webb City, Carl Junction, Neosho and McDonald County are in Class 3 District 6 with Bolivar, Grandview, Ruskin and Willard.

College Heights is in Class 1 District 6 with Cole Camp, Fair Grove, New Covenant and Stover. 

 

BOYS SWIMMING

Joplin is the lone area school competing in Class 2.

Webb City, Carthage, Lamar and Monett are among the schools who are in Class 1.
