Juan Perez scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute to lift the Neosho Wildcats to a 2-1 win over the Joplin Eagles on Tuesday night in Central Ozark Conference soccer action.
Joplin took a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute on a goal from Azziel Palma, with Luciana Reyes getting the assist.
Neosho’s Arturo Lopez scored the tying goal in the 43rd minute.
Neither team scored until Perez’s game winner.
Joplin’s Andrew Jordan made seven saves, while Neosho’s Johnathan Tribbey recorded five saves.
Joplin (6-3) is at the Richard Wilson Classic this weekend. Neosho (5-0) hosts Willard next Tuesday.
