BOYS SOCCER: Carthage knocks off College Heights

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Carthage’s boys soccer team earned a 7-1 win over College Heights Christian with McAuley Catholic on Thursday. 

The Tigers received first half goals from Eric Garcia (15th minute), Silas Laytham (38th minute) and George Laytham (40th minute). 

The Tigers scored the first three goals of the second half. Welle Welle scored in the 42nd minute, there was an own goal in the 43rd minute and Garcia notched a goal in the 53rd minute. 

College Heights got on the board in the 59th on a goal from Michael Parrigon. 

Welle added a goal in the 71st minute for the final margin. 

Carthage hosts Willard on Tuesday. College Heights is at McDonald County on Tuesday.
