BRANSON, Mo. — Joplin’s Harry Satterlee earned medalist honors at the Central Ozark Conference Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Pointe Royale Golf Course.
A sophomore, Satterlee carded a 73 to finish on top of the individual leaderboard.
Joplin senior Wyatt Satterlee tied for second with Nixa’s Noah Naugle, as both players carded 74.
Turning in scores of 75 were Nixa’s Chandler Burch and Branson’s Benjamin Presley. Ozark’s Carter Chronister shot 76 and teammate CJ Jackson carded 77.
Carl Junction’s Jack Spencer, Webb City’s Braxten Cahoon and Republic’s Griffin Frey carded 78 to tie for eighth place.
Nixa’s duo of Johnathan Miller and Jordan Hartman both shot 79, while Republic’s Cason Bekemeier carded 80.
Joplin’s Hobbs Campbell, Webb City’s Josh Howard, Neosho’s Kytn Francisco, Carthage’s Britt Coy and Owen Derryberry, Nixa’s Meyer Lively and Ozark’s Kyler Smith all carded 81, tying for 14th place.
Nixa was the team champion with a four-person score of 307. Ozark was second with a 317 and Joplin took third with a 318.
Webb City (327), Carl Junction (332) and Carthage (336) finished fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.
Rounding out the team standings were Republic (343), Willard (356), Branson (363) and Neosho (370).
Also competing for Joplin were Dylan Bozarth (90) and Ian Surbrugg (94), while Keegon Dill (84), Cooper Forth (84) and Levi Lassiter (85) also competed for Webb City.
Jacob Teeter (83), Noah Williams (85), Tommy Walker (86) and Zach Wrensch (95) rounded out Carl Junction’s lineup.
Also competing for Carthage were Max Templeman (85), Ben Nicholas (89) and Colson Brust (89).
Xander Woodward (89), Colby Shadwick (100), Camp Ramsey (100) and Landon Werneke (107) also competed for Neosho.
Local golf teams will compete at their respective district tournaments on May 9.
Joplin and Carthage will compete at the Class 5 District 3 tournament at Adams Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs.
Carl Junction, Neosho and Webb City will compete at the Class 4 District 3 tournament at Lake Valley Golf Club in Camdenton.
