The Missouri Southern women’s basketball program has announced the addition of Division I transfer Cameron Call.

Call comes to Southern after two seasons at Illinois State. In her two seasons at ISU, Call appeared in 34 games for the Redbirds scoring a career-high 11 points and shot 31.6 percent from deep during her time with the program. Was part of the Redbirds first postseason appearance in eight years this past season.

Call prepped at Mount Vernon High School with incoming freshman guard Lacy Stokes before playing at Illinois State.

She was a four-year letter winner on Mountaineer teams that won three straight district championships and won two conference titles. The career leader in 3-pointers made with 261 and has the single-season record making 91 while scoring 1,862 points. A four-time first-team All-District and All-Conference selection was named Conference Player of the Year and a first-team All-State selection her sophomore and senior seasons.

“We are extremely excited to add Cameron Call to the Lion Family,” said Lions head coach Ronnie Ressel. “She will be a really good fit with our team both on and off the court. I watched her throughout her high school career and really enjoyed how hard and aggressive she plays. Cameron has the ability to score from the perimeter and around the basket.”
