SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Wright brothers combined for 38 points as the Joplin High School boys basketball team defeated Parkview 70-66 on Tuesday night.
Jeff Hafer’s Eagles hiked their record to 5-2.
Freshman guard All Wright scored 24 points and junior guard Always Wright added 14. Dominick Simmons also reached double figures for the Eagles with 10.
Joplin’s Fielding Campbell added seven points, while Dante Washington and Malik Williams contributed six points apiece.
All Wright had 19 points in the first half, while Always Wright scored 12 points in the second half.
Elijah Whitney poured in 30 points for Parkview and Damien Harris added 11.
Joplin led 38-30 at the half and 57-51 at the end of the third quarter.
Parkview outscored Joplin 15-13 in the final frame, but the visitors held on for the non-conference victory.

Joplin boys basketball wrapped up play in the 12 Courts of Christmas basketball tournament on Saturday. The Eagles took a loss to Smithville on Friday
