During the big inning, Cole Gayman walked, Brock singled and Goddard reached on an error, allowing Gayman to score. After an out, Fitch hit an RBI single.

Later in the inning, both Parker and Noel drew walks, making it 3-1. Woodmansee helped clear the bases when he hit a ground ball, as he reached on an error and the Cards went up 6-1.

Nixa added a single tally in the fourth, but the Cardinals got the run back in the sixth. Weathers tripled and then came home after a fielder’s choice off the bat of Parker.

Nixa plated two runs in the seventh on Nelson’s two-run triple before the Cardinals retired the side to secure the win.
