Caden Bressler hit a walk-off home run and the Joplin Outlaws overcame an eight-run deficit to earn a thrilling 14-12 win over the Clarinda A’s on Tuesday night at Joe Becker Stadium.

The visitors led 8-0 after the top of the fourth inning, but the Outlaws plated four runs in the bottom half to cut their deficit in half.

The hosts plated single tallies in both the fifth and sixth before a four-run seventh trimmed Clarinda’s lead to 11-10.

The A’s scored once in the top of the eighth, but the Outlaws tied it up with two in the bottom half before the late heroics completed an improbable come from behind win.

Garrett Chun drove in four runs on two hits, a double and a triple. Carson Carpenter, Tyler Davis and Bressler added two RBI apiece.

Korrey Siracusa scored three runs for the hosts, while Joe Ricchio and Davis each scored two runs apiece. Davis homered and Carson Johnson tripled for the Outlaws, who used seven pitchers in the game.

In the ninth, Johnson walked before Bressler homered.

Joplin hosts Clarinda again at 7 on Wednesday night.
